2011 CSEG Challenge Bowl

The CSEG Foundation Outreach Committee invites teams of two students (graduate or undergraduate) from any university or college to enter the 2011 Challenge Bowl the evening of Tuesday May 10th, at the TELUS Convention Centre. The Challenge Bowl provides the opportunity for students from across Canada to display their geophysical and geological knowledge.

What is the Challenge Bowl?
In the style of the popular game Reach for the Top, contestants are challenged to answer open and multiple choice questions representing a range of geophysical and geological topics. Eight teams of students compete for an expenses paid trip to the 2011 SEG convention where the successful team competes against fellow Challenge Bowl winners from around the world for valuable cash prizes.

Participants must be CSEG members. However, student membership is free, courtesy of Apache Corporation. Please visit the Post-Secondary Student page by clicking here for more information. Travel grants are available for Student CSEG members travelling to the joint annual convention. Priority is given to those students competing in the Challenge Bowl. Click here for the CSEG Foundation web page with more information.

Space is limited, so register now! If you would like to participate in this exciting event, please fill out the application form and fax it into the CSEG office @ 1-403-262-7382 or email your application to students@cseg.ca .
