The Microseismic User Group is a forum for practitioners to share experiences associated with microseismic imaging of hydraulic fracture stimulations. Topics will include survey design, acquisition, and processing although the primary focus will be on practical application and interpretation of microseismic data. Interpretation of hydraulic fracturing spans the geophysics, engineering and geology communities and hence the group will encourage multidisciplinary discussions. The mandate of the group will be primarily educational through access to technical information, case studies and discussions. The primary venue for the group will be a regular lunchbox forum featuring a volunteer speaker followed by an open technical discussion. The group does not promote the use of specific technologies, services or software.
