Course Outline:
The upstream oil industry is wrought with information decision problems – from reprocessing seismic to testing to phasing the development of fields. Decision Frameworks Value-of-Information (VOI) Workshop provides technical professionals a practical approach to learning the fundamentals of framing and analyzing information options. The curriculum balances time between lectures, example case study breakouts, and work on real problems. The case studies selected for the CSEG "DoodleTrain" are aimed at a geo-science audience, though the lectures and workflow remain valid for any information decision.
